I know this sounds really dumb and amateurish but I find applying eyeliners really difficult.
Kohl eyeliners are OK, but because I have thick, black eyelashes, it always ends up looking grainy, and it also looks like I have really bad shadows under my eyes. (And I just can't do eyelining the top lashes with an eye pencil - I'm just not coordinated enough! Any tips)
Liquid liners I really struggle with though, my coodination always screws up - I end up with eyeliner everywhere! I also think black eyeliner makes me look really gothy, which isn't the look I'm going for!
What colour would look good for a girl with dark brown eyes and thick, black eyelashes (this is for both eyeliner types!)
Also, if anyone has any other useful make up hints and tips, feel free to post them!
Thanks! =)I need tips on applying eye make up!?
if you have brown eyes, almost always a teal eyeliner on the top and bottom looks great! it really will make your eyes pop (covergirl eye slicks) and you wont look like every other girl who wears too much black eyeliner on the bottom. if you want to change it up and use liquid eyeliner, sephora brand's liquid shimmer eyeliner has an easily appliable applicator. and you wont be an expert at using this first but that's ok. If it looks a little messy, use neutrogena eyemake remover WIPES not the pads, which can irritate your face.then rip i little bit off and take off excess eyeliner that doesnt look so hot. i hope this helps!!! = ]I need tips on applying eye make up!?
It sounds like traditional eyeliners give you problems. I have really deep brown eyes too, and I ';make'; eyeliner. Dip a thin (I use a lipstick brush) in water and apply a mineral eyeshadow as eyeliner. I typically use bare minerals in legit (its a metallic plum). After lining, I use a sheer purple shade on my lids, not too much though!
just us brown eye line and apply it from under ur your eye lashes and not from on top
My favorite eyeliner is the gel eyeliner from bobby brown. You put it on with a thin little brush. It doesn't look grainy. It is a lot easier to put on than liquid liners. It also lasts all day and doesn't end up under your eyes. It comes in a tiny jar. You may need to stir it up every couple of months if it gets flakey.
They have a few different browns that are pretty.
It is pricey though. $20 for eyeliner. and $20 dollars for the brush. It will last you about 2-4 years though! -and the brush will last forever.
I would also try to get a lighted mirror or some sort of magnifying mirror. They have them at Bed Bath and Beyond. I got the Jerdon one for 30 bucks. It is kind of an ugly mirror. But I can actually do a quality job with my make-up this way. I don't have the best lighting in my room.
I think if you want to get a liner that doesn't get flakey or melt off your face, you are going to have to spend a little more.
hope this gave you some ideas
good luck~
try using 'liner feutre, bourjois - paris' its really good and easy to put on, its like a felt tip. its much easyer than using liqiud cuz that just goes everywhere and its easyer than pencil. if u look a little gothy dont put eye liner on ur top eyelid just the bottom one and just use a bit.
hope this helps :)
